The arrival of devotees from every corner of the country at Prayagraj Mahakumbh, the biggest gathering of faith, continued on Monday and the number of bathing people crossed 63 crore with a bath at the confluence of more than 1.30 crore devotees. According to the data of the fair administration, more than 1.30 crore devotees took a dip in the Sangam till 8 pm on Monday. In this way, 63.36 crore people have taken a bath in Mahakumbh, which started from 13 January.
Prayagraj District Magistrate Ravindra Mandar told about the preparations for the Mahashivratri festival that we are all preparations for Mahashivratri. Preparations have been made for cleanliness and security arrangements in all pagoda.
He informed that police force has been deployed at all places. On Mahashivaratri festival, devotees are preparing to take a safe bath. So far, more than 63 crore devotees have bathed in the Ganges and Sangam. In Mahakumbh, guests from all countries including diplomatic and Bhutan Naresh Namgyal Wangchuk of 73 countries came here to take a Amrit bath. Not only this, more than 50 lakh people from Nepal have taken bath in the holy water of Triveni so far. If we analyze the total number of bathing people till now, the maximum number of eight crore devotees took a bath on Mauni Amavasya, while 3.5 crore devotees took a Amrit bath on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
On February 1 and January 30, 1.7 crore devotees took a dip in the Ganges and Sangam on Paush Purnima and on Paush Purnima. Apart from this, 2.57 crore devotees took a bath in Triveni on Basant Panchami. On the important bathing festival of Maghi Purnima, more than two crore devotees took a bath in the Sangam.
