WhatsApp has started its voice message transcript feature in India. The platform announced this feature in November last year. But now you can do on-device processing to create a text transcript of a voice message. This feature has started showing on WhatsApp's Android app. It can soon be started on the iOS app. This means that now you will not need to listen to voice messages in public. You can transcribe the voice message. After which this message appears in front of you in written form.
You are not getting support for Hindi language for transcript language at the moment. But through this feature, you can see the text transcript for voice notes recorded in Hindi. Officially, this feature includes English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian languages. This feature of WhatsApp can prove to be very helpful. With this feature, you can continue your conversation. It does not matter where you are. You will be able to read the voice message instead of listening to it in front of everyone.
According to Meta, transcripts on the instant messaging platform are created entirely on the device itself. WhatsApp will also not have access to its audio or text. You do not have to do much to use it. You will find this feature in the phone settings itself. To use it, read the process given below.
