UP News: The state government has taken a big decision for the farmers in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Work has also been completed in 37 districts.

UP News: The Yogi government is going to get the circle rate of land revised in the state. This process will start soon, especially in many districts including Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj. The government is working on priority in the districts where the circle rate has not changed for years.

The circle rate of land has been revised in 37 districts in the state from January 1, 2024 till now. Farmers will get the most benefit from this process, because they will be able to get the right price for their land during land acquisition. The government says that this will give impetus to development projects and farmers will also be benefited.

What is circle rate?

The circle rate is the minimum price at which the government recognizes the purchase and sale of land. Land registration cannot be done at a price lower than this. In many districts, the circle rate had become very old, due to which farmers and land sellers were not getting a fair price for their property.

Revision is done as per the law

According to the Second Amendment Rules of Uttar Pradesh Stamp (Property Valuation) – 2013, the circle rate is determined by the District Magistrate in August every year. If required, the rates can be revised even in the middle of the year.

Action will be taken soon in these districts

In the recent review meeting of the Chief Secretary, instructions were given to speed up this process. The districts in which the circle rate has not changed for years include:

Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Muzaffarnagar, Jhansi, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Badaun, Kushinagar, Kasganj, Etawah, Kannauj, Maharajganj, Sant Kabirnagar, Kaushambi, Jalaun, Lalitpur and Etah. The government will soon start the revision process in these districts, so that the correct price of the land there can be decided.

The process is going on in these districts

At the same time, the process of circle rate revision is already going on in many districts including Gautam Buddha Nagar, Agra, Aligarh, Saharanpur, Shamli, Banda, Hamirpur, Mirzapur, Sultanpur, Amethi and Badaun.

Farmers will get the most benefit

With this decision of the government, farmers will get the right price for their land. Due to the old circle rate at the time of land acquisition, farmers were not able to get the right price for their land. Now with the new circle rate, compensation will also be more, which will improve the economic condition of the farmers.

What will be the benefit?

Farmers will get proper compensation in land acquisition

The government will get an increase in revenue

The real estate sector will get strengthened

There will be transparency in the purchase and sale of land

Landowners and farmers will benefit from this step of the Yogi government. Updating the circle rate will provide the correct value of the property and will also facilitate land acquisition for government projects. This will speed up development work in the state and bring transparency in the land market.
