Welterweight sensation Leon Edwards is set to make a comeback as he faces Sean Brady in the headline event at UFC London.

The UK is hosting its first UFC MMA event since the UFC 304 pay-per-view card last July in Manchester. That evening witnessed Edwards losing his welterweight title to Belal Muhammad.

Now, with 'Rocky' eager to return to winning ways, he faces a challenging opponent in Brady. Edwards was initially slated to fight Jack Della Maddalena, but Maddalena was given a chance to compete for the title in May. Meanwhile, Brady, the American fighter, is currently on a two-fight winning streak. His only defeat inside the cage so far was against Muhammad in 2022. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming event...

Leon Edwards: "There were unseen circumstances that caused that. We're moving forward," Edwards told a news conference on Thursday. "I'm excited to go out there and perform again. I feel like I'm going in there to out my wrongs right. I feel like I owe I to the UK fans and myself.

"I was walking towards him and he had his back turned to me, I was like 'where the f*** is Sean? He turned around I was like what the hell. "I feel like the size difference, the reach, the strength, will play a big part in the fight. For me yes 100%. I'm still ranked No. 1 in the division, there's been no movement in the division since I last fought. I'll go out there, get a good performance against Sean, put him away, finish him and it will put me right back in line to where I belong."

Sean Brady: "I think that's a bad look on Leon to be thinking about other people when all I'm thinking about is fighting him," Brady said. "He's thinking about No. 1 contenders, and getting back at Belal, and talking sh*t about Belal. But he's got someone who's trying to kill him Saturday night in front of him, and he has more things to be concerned about than being a No. 1 contender in the division.

"I'm not trying to get a title shot out of this. I'm not trying to rush it. That's what I did before in my career. I went into the Belal (Muhammad) fight pushing for it so hard and it turned out that wasn't the night for me. So, I'm going to go out there, I'm going to do my job, get my hand raised by any means necessary, and then wherever I go from there, I go."
