Sonu Nigam's post

Sharing photos from the concert on Instagram, Sonu revealed that someone from the crowd only threw a vape at him, following which he requested students to enjoy the show and not throw things on stage. He wrote, "There was no incident of stone or bottle pelting at DTU, as reported in some media. Someone on stage threw a vape which hit Shubhankar's chest and that's when I was informed about it. I stopped the show and requested the college students and reminded them that if something like this happens again, the show will have to be stopped abruptly." Sonu seen wearing a Pookie band
The singer also revealed that someone threw a pink hair band on the stage, which he immediately wore during his performance. He named the band 'Pookie', a word used to describe something cute. Sonu said, 'After this, only the Pookie band was seen on the stage. Which was Pookie.'

Sonu's post comes after several reports that chaos broke out at his concert in DTU, due to which he had to stop his program midway due to indecent behavior of the audience. A Hindustan Times report claimed that more than one lakh students had gathered at the event and some people allegedly threw stones and plastic bottles at the singer.

Multiple claims made in reports

According to the report, he also spoke to the crowd and urged them to behave. He said, "Mai aapke liye aaya hu yahan pe, so that we all can have a good time. I am not telling you not to enjoy, but please don't do this." The report further states that the singer was particularly concerned about the safety of his team members and warned that they could get injured if the crowd continued to throw objects on stage. Sonu resumed his performance once the situation was under control.
