New Delhi: YouTube has announced a major change in the views counting system of shorts video. This new rule will be applicable from March 31 and this will help the creators to understand how many people are watching their shorts. After this change, there will be an increase in the number of views, because now the way to count the view will change completely. But whether it will affect YouTube income along with views.
Till now, it was necessary to watch videos for a certain time to count views on YouTube shorts. But after 31 March, YouTube will now only see how many videos have been played or replaced by a video. This means that more views will now be recorded on shorts than before. After this change, YouTube's shorts view counting system will be like Instagram Reels and Tickets. That is, as many times a video will open or reply, it will be counted as a view.
However, YouTube has clarified that this change will not affect the earnings. The rules of YouTube partner program and monetization will remain the same as before. According to reports, YouTube has made this change keeping in mind the demand of the creators, so that they can better understand and improve the rich of their content. Creators will also get the facility that if they want, they can see the old views matrix. For this, they have to go to the advanced mode of YouTube analytics, where they will be able to see the old data of views coming on their video.
