The Mumbai Indians received a significant boost on Sunday with the return of their star fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, just in time for their Indian Premier League match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

It is still unclear whether Bumrah has received the necessary fitness clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) to participate in the tournament.

The Mumbai Indians shared this exciting news on their social media platforms, stating, “Once a cub now a lion, the lion is back to be the king of the jungle again.”

Bumrah has been out of action since early January due to a back injury sustained during the fifth Test against Australia in Sydney.

His absence also meant he missed the limited-overs series against England and the following Champions Trophy.
