The Red Devils have had their worst-ever Premier League campaign in terms of points, with the team currently down in 14th spot in the tableand they suffered a 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Sunday afternoon.

Man United can still save their season, though, with Ruben amorim‘s side in the quarter-finals of the Europa League; the second leg of their last-eight clash against Lyon will take place on Thursday night, and the tie is level at 2-2 following the first leg.

According to Football InsiderMan United are preparing to let as many as 10 first-team players depart at the end of the campaign in order to raise vital funds to oversee a revamp.

Jonny Evans, Tom Heaton, Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen are all out of contract this summer, and the quartet are set to depart, although there have been suggestions that Evans and Heaton could become coaches at Old Trafford.

Rashford, Antony ‘could leave Man United’ this summer

Marcus Rashford is expected to leave Man United even if Aston Villa pass on their £40m option to sign him on a permanent basis, with the forward still believed to be hopeful that he could convince Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain to make a move.

Real Betis want to sign Antony on a permanent basis, with the Brazilian impressing on loan at the Sevilla club, while Chelsea have an obligation to buy Jadon Sancho for a fee in the region of £25m.

Chelsea are said to be considering paying a £5m escape clausebut at this moment in time, the former Manchester City youngster will be making the move to Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis.

Tyrell Malaciameanwhile, does not have a long-term future at Old Trafford, and the 25-year-old could potentially make a permanent switch to loan club PSV Eindhoven depending on the numbers involved.

Garnacho’s future at Man United is being called into question

There is also fresh speculation when it comes to the future of Alejandro Garnachoas there remain huge question marks when it comes to the Argentina international’s suitability for Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation.

Man United are allegedly willing to sell Garnacho for as little as £34m during the summer market, with NapoliChelsea and Atletico Madrid potentially competing for his signature at the end of the campaign.

Andre Onan‘s future is also being called into question, with the Cameroonian dropped against Newcastle last time out following his poor display against Lyon in the Europa League in France.

The 29-year-old will be back between the sticks against Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday night, but it is believed that head coach Amorim wants to bring in a new number one goalkeeper during the summer market.

Man United are also planning for a busy summer in terms of incomings, with a new centre-forward said to be at the top of their wishlist, as the Red Devils look to solve their goalscoring issues.
