Vi has partnered with Cisco, an American multinational, to modernize its core transport network, which forms the basis of their 4G and 5G services.
The project enhances traffic control, reliability, and rapid response to changing user requirements by implementing MPLS technology with the best level of service (Traffic Engineering).
Technology Upgrade for Improving Cost Efficiency and Resulting Non-controllable Spending
Cisco’s advanced technologies in IP and MPLS are used by Vi to further streamline network processes through automations and software-defined fetching systems. The advancement will assist the telecom service provider in controlling the increasing network data traffic within reasonable costs and better customer service experience.
Vodafone Idea’s CTO Jagbir Singh was there and said that this partnership places Vi in an exciting place for telecommunications innovation. Cisco’s regional vice president Gordon Thomson explained that the network would be able to adjust to India’s expanding digital services infrastructure.
