The 29-year-old Gold Coast resident spent a staggering $8,000 (over ₹6.6 lakh) on cosmetic procedures in an attempt to resemble a cat. But instead of achieving "purrfection," Dawson now finds herself battling painful side effects and emotional scars.

The Experimental Procedures That Went Horribly Wrong

In her quest to emulate feline features, Dawson underwent a series of "experimental" cosmetic treatments designed to sharpen her cheekbones and flare her nostrils. Despite choosing procedures she believed were reversible, the results spiraled out of control. Over time, her body began rejecting the fillers, causing them to migrate across her face unpredictably. A barbed threading procedure, intended to redefine her facial structure, became so excruciating that Dawson attempted to remove the threads herself — leaving her with permanent scars and lesions.

‘I Did It for Attention’: Dawson’s Painful Confession

Speaking candidly to Jam Press, Dawson revealed the uncomfortable truth behind her dramatic transformation. “I’ll be honest with you, and I don’t want to admit this, but I was just doing this for attention,” she confessed. Although she never truly identified as a cat, Dawson acknowledged the extreme lengths she was willing to go for public validation — a pursuit that has left her both physically and emotionally battered.

From Viral Dreams to Harrowing Aftermath

Beyond the visible scars, Dawson faced a series of unexpected health complications, including severe acid reflux caused by migrating filler passing through her nasal cavity. "I thought I could push it a little further," she admitted, reflecting on the ordeal. Despite her initial confidence in the procedures being "reversible," the damage proved deeper and far more enduring than she had ever anticipated.

Having now removed all fillers and implants, Dawson is focusing on recovery — both physical and emotional. I have been in a lot of pain because of it."
