Dheeraj, Raj, Pramod, Sharad and the entire office team decide to go to Dileep’s village for fun. Dilip’s village is in Roha taluka of Raigad district. All the team left from Juinagar, Mumbai at around 12 o’clock after finishing office work at night. The village is only 93 km away! So the journey was only 3 hours. As soon as the twelve o’clock left the clock, this Patthaya also left Juinagar. The car was on its way to Konkan at high speed. Everyone in the car was happy but what do they know? This journey will give him the biggest thrill of his life.
The car reached the Palaspe junction of Panvel. The train started speeding on the Mumbai-Goa highway i.e. NH 48. The driver of the car was well versed with the roads of Konkan. But in this journey, he was the one person who had a grudge in his mind from the beginning of the journey. But he was very confident. In fact! To reach Dileep’s village, one has to take a right-hand drive from Kolad, but this driver took a detour as soon as he left Wadkal. This is a way, which many people do not even know. Dilip was from the village so he also knew this road but he too had not traveled this road much. Come on, if the driver knows what the tension is? So he did not say anything to the driver.
The driver was also driving at high speed on the side road. But then he realized that he was walking alone on this road. After an hour, not a single car passed us. Not a single car is visible in the back mirror. The clock struck three. By now we should have reached Dilip’s village. Many such questions and thoughts came to the driver’s mind but he looked back and saw that Dilip was sleeping and the rest of the group was having a good time, no one had any idea so the driver thought that instead of giving them too much tension, let the car go as it is going.
Basically, there is no ghat on that road. There is no ghat route even exists but these people suddenly find a ghat on that route. The driver screams loudly in panic. Everyone comes out of their haze. Even the sleeping Dileep wakes up from her sweet dreams. The driver tells everyone to look at their watches! Everyone says three and a half… then the journey was three hours as the driver said. We have no traffic on the road, nothing, why are we still late? I don’t understand anything. Suddenly this ghat has started. Basically, no ghatmarg exists at this place. Everyone is shocked to hear this.
For the past one and a half to two hours, not a single car passed around us. This car suddenly stops at the top of the ghat. Everyone in the car gets more scared. The driver gets out of the car and starts checking the car. Dileep also gets out of the car with him. The clock strikes four. Dilip looks at the clock and says, it’s too late! Would you have gone in straight from Kolad and suggested a solution that you would not have? Dheeraj and Pramod also come out of the car. Then suddenly an old man comes in front of them leaning on a stick. A ghat which these people have never seen or heard of, an old man comes leaning on a stick in that ghat. Start talking to these people. Then the driver asks him the name of that village. The old man smiles but says nothing. The driver comes a little closer to the old man while talking, he can smell a very foul stench from the old man’s body. So he backs off. Staying behind, he asks him, “Dad, do we want to go out of this ghat? There is a straight road, isn’t it?” Then the old man tells them that “Bava, you come here of your own free will, you will leave here only by my free will!” Hearing the old man’s words, everyone gets scared. Everyone wonders why this old man is talking like this. Then Dilip’s eyes go to the old man’s feet. An old man’s legs are upside down.
Dileep does not tell this story to anyone. That old man also starts looking at Dileep. Dileep is looking at the old man with a scared look. The old man says, “Give me what I want, then you are out of this! Only those who fulfill my wish are out of this. If you don’t fulfill my wish soon, they are coming from behind, they will take you with them.” Then the driver nervously asks him “Dad, what do you want?” Then they say she is the one who brought you to me.
Then all these come into consideration. Then Dileep remembers the chicken he kept in the back of the car. He runs to Dicky’s and takes out the chicken and gives it to the old man. An old man eats raw chicken like a monster. That’s when the driver suddenly remembers God. He starts chanting the name of Hanuman loudly and suddenly the old man starts shaking and disappears. The car also starts suddenly. All these people sit in the car and chanting God’s name, they start driving the car wherever they see the road. But still the train does not come down from that ghat, it keeps going round and round at the same place.
Dilip then remembers that there is something else in the car, which the ghosts here are hungry for. Dilip asks Tanvi what did you bring in a box? Tanvi brings Sukkat by filling a box. Dileep shouts loudly and says throw that box out first. Tanvi immediately throws the dabba out and in almost a few minutes they descend the ghat and again reach the Vadkhal bridge, from where the driver took a short cut on the right side before the thrill started.
The driver and everyone else is concerned. Dileep looks at the time on his watch. The clock still strikes four. Time stands still there. Dileep also hides the matter, he tells the driver to keep the car on the highway. Dilip checks the clock again after a while and lets out a sigh of relief, it’s four o’clock. The stopped time has passed so they have come out of this thrill. Also, four o’clock means Brahmamuhurta has also started. They reach their place in just half an hour, but the thrill of the incident creates fear in their hearts.
