Iltija wrote about the incident on social media platform This is one of many incidents of violence against Kashmiris in India, where the perpetrators know they have institutional immunity.

He said that these are no longer just a few people. BJP is actively bringing these 'few people' into the mainstream, who are no longer on the margins. Even before this, Iltija has been cornering the government on such matters.

Late evening on Wednesday (January 28) in Vikasnagar area of ​​Uttarakhand, a Kashmiri youth, who was only 18 years old, was beaten up. In this attack, the young man's left hand was fractured, while he suffered serious injuries due to being hit on the head with an iron rod.

Fight broke out after asking name and identity

When the condition of the young man deteriorated, he was first taken to the local hospital, from where the doctors referred him to Doon Hospital in Dehradun. Where he is being treated. The victim's family said that the attack was not carried out suddenly but after asking for identification. As soon as the young man told the people that he was from Kashmir and belonged to the Muslim community. Immediately after this people started beating him.
