Travelling to a hill station is exciting, but given the uncertainty of hilly areas and weather conditions, proper preparation is a must. Keeping some essential items in the car can make your journey safe and convenient. Here are some essential items that should be kept in the car while going to a hill station.

First Aid Kit

This is a must for bruises, cuts or minor accidents. It should contain bandages, antiseptic cream, painkillers, and other essentials for minor injuries. The journey can be long and there may be a shortage of shops in the mountains. Carry snacks, water bottles, juices, and light food items like biscuits or dry fruits.

Emergency Tools and Kits

Mountain roads are often rough, there is a possibility of tyre puncture. If there is a need to change the tyre, a tool kit proves to be helpful. A torch is useful at night or in dark places, so you should keep it with you. If the battery is down, this jumper will only help in starting your vehicle.

Weather-proof clothing and blankets

The weather can change suddenly in the mountains. To avoid the cold weather, keep warm clothes, blankets and raincoats with you. There may be network problems in hilly areas. Keep a GPS or offline maps handy. A paper map can also be useful.

Power Banks & Mobile Chargers

Mobile battery backup may run out during the journey, so keep a power bank and car charger with you. If you are travelling in snowy areas, keep chains or sand for the wheels with you. There is a possibility of slippery snow, this gives grip to the vehicle. By keeping these essential things in the car, you can make your journey safe and comfortable. In hilly areas, both the weather and the road can be unpredictable, so always go out with full preparation.
