Apple’s first major product launch of 2025 is anticipated to take place in April, showcasing the fourth-generation iPhone SE and new iPad models. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has indicated that these devices will likely be released before the launch of iOS 18.4, which is expected by April. He further clarified that while both the iPhone SE and iPads are being developed with iOS 18.3, their releases won’t necessarily coincide but should occur prior to the iOS 18.4 update.
iPhone SE 4: Major Upgrades and Modern Features Expected
The iPhone SE 4 is set to receive major updates, including a modern design with no home button, similar to the iPhone 14. It is expected to be powered by the A18 chip, found in the iPhone 16 series, and paired with 8GB of RAM, making it Apple’s most affordable AI-capable iPhone.
The device will likely feature a 6.06-inch OLED display with a notch for Face ID. Camera upgrades include a 48MP rear sensor and a 12MP front camera. The battery is also expected to improve, with an increased 3,279mAh capacity. Additional enhancements could include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a USB-C port.
Apple’s April 2025 iPad Launch: Performance Boosts and New Accessories
In April, Apple is expected to launch new iPads, including the 11th-generation base iPad with the A18 chip and a new iPad Air featuring the M3 chip. While these updates will deliver significant performance improvements, major design changes are not anticipated. Additionally, new accessories, such as an updated Magic Keyboard designed specifically for the iPad Air, may also be unveiled.
