Gautam Adani's Generous Donation of ₹10,000 Crore Wins Praise on Son's Wedding

Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, is receiving widespread praise for his remarkable act of generosity on the occasion of his son Jeet Adani's wedding. While the wedding itself was a simple and traditional affair, Adani made it unforgettable by announcing a donation of ₹10,000 crore. This act of philanthropy reflects his philosophy: "Service is devotion, service is prayer, and service is the ultimate path to the divine."

A significant portion of this donation will be dedicated to the development of infrastructure in healthcare, education, and skill development. Prominent media figures like India TV's editor-in-chief, Rajat Sharma, have also lauded this extraordinary gesture.

Rajat Sharma's Appreciation

Rajat Sharma commended Gautam Adani's decision, emphasizing his humble approach to celebrating such a grand occasion. Jeet Adani married Diva Shah, the daughter of a renowned diamond trader, in a ceremony attended by a select group of guests. On this special day, Adani pledged to use the donated amount for building global skill centers, affordable schools, medical colleges, and low-cost hospitals.

Sharing his thoughts, Sharma said, "I have known Gautam Adani for many years. He never ceases to amaze with pleasant surprises. This time, his simplicity in conducting his son’s wedding and the announcement of such a significant donation is truly admirable."

Mangalseva Initiative for Differently-Abled Brides

Sharma also highlighted another heartwarming initiative by Adani: a pledge to support the marriage of 500 differently-abled women each year, providing financial aid of ₹10 lakh to every bride under the ‘Mangalseva’ program.

"If a wedding begins with such auspicious deeds, it is a wonderful sign," Sharma added. He recalled a previous instance when Adani surprised everyone during his appearance on ‘Aap Ki Adalat’. Adani had celebrated his 60th birthday by donating ₹60,000 crore towards public welfare projects, which included building hospitals, opening schools and colleges, and investing in skill development.

This latest ₹10,000 crore donation on the occasion of his son’s wedding will also contribute to these ongoing efforts. Sharma concluded by extending his heartfelt congratulations to Gautam Adani and his family for their noble endeavors.
