In the first semi -final match of the Champions Trophy, Team India's 'Mystery Spinner' Varun Chakraborty made great wonders. He gave India a wicket, which not only Team India but also Indian fans needed. Varun again ran the magic of his spin on the Dubai pitch and finished the game of Australia's Dhakad Batter Travis Head. Head could not understand Varun's ball and held a catch in Shubman Gill's hands.
Travis Head had earlier got a life of Mohammed Shami. But the head could not survive from Varun's ball. Varun trapped the head in his trap on his second ball in the match. Varun put the ninth over of Australia's innings. On his second ball, the head wanted to play a big shot. The head bounced Varun's ball in the air, but Shubman Gill caught it and ended the head of the head. Head returned to the pavilion after scoring 39 runs in 33 balls.

Travis Head had received life on the very first ball of the match but could not take advantage of it for long. The first over of Australia's innings was taken by Mohammed Shami. On Shami's first ball, the head played a shot on the front and Shami wanted to catch it but the ball was missed from her hands. If this was a catch, the head work on the first ball would have been done. Apart from this, the head later survived by being run out on Jadeja's throw. If it seemed direct hit, he could have been head out. But even after avoiding being dismissed twice, the head could not play a big innings.
