Saira Banu worked with many big stars in her career. Her pairing with Rajendra Kumar and Shammi Kapoor was well liked. Saira Banu made her Bollywood debut in the year 1961 with the film Junglee in which Shammi Kapoor was opposite her. But during the shooting of a song of this film something happened that Saira Banu started crying. Seeing this Shammi Kapoor got angry at her and said that if you had to cry and blush like this then you should have sat at home wearing a burqa. Heres what happened. Junglee was a comedy film which was a superhit. Later it was also made in the Telugu language. The song Kashmir Ki Kali Hoon Main of this film was shot in Kashmir. For this the whole team went to Kashmir. But during the shoot Saira Banu got nervous. There was a huge crowd on the set and everyone wanted to see the shooting. Saira had told in one of her Instagram posts that there were thousands of tourists in the garden who were roaming around and taking pictures. The shooting area was cordoned off very carefully to make the shooting easier. Saira had told that this was the first time she was shooting in front of such a huge crowd. There was a line in the song which Saira was not able to do properly and she was nervous because of the crowd. Due to this she started crying. Sairas mother tried to calm her down but then Shammi Kapoor pointed towards her and started scolding Saira. He angrily said to Saira Banu What is this? If you had to feel shy and cry like this you should have sat at home wearing a burqa. Hearing this Saira Banu started crying loudly. But then Saira tied a dupatta around her waist and wiped her tears and said - I will show you. Saira praised Shammi Kapoor for how his scolding pushed her and she was able to perform the song well.
