The great football player Cristiano Ronaldo has made hints regarding his impending retirement, stating that he doesn’t have much time left. Additionally, CR7 said that, at this point in his career, accolades and particular distinctions are “not important.”
On Monday night, in the AFC Champions League match, Al Nassr defeated Al Rayyan 2-1, with Ronaldo scoring the game’s winning goal.

Ronaldo is 39 years old, and he is still going strong. CR7 won the Golden Boot a year after netting 50 goals for his Saudi Pro League team, and he’s off to a fantastic start to the 2024–25 campaign.

Cristiano’s eighth goal overall for club and country since the start of the new season came on Monday with his most recent goal. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner dedicated the goal to his late father, making it an emotional day for him.

“The objective for today tastes different. It’s my father’s birthday today, and I wish he was still with us,” Ronaldo said.

Cristiano Ronaldo gave some insight into his future intentions when he intimated that he intended to retire soon.

“I’m simply having fun playing football right now since I know I won’t be on the field for long. Being the top player or taking home the hardware is not important to me right now. Right now, I just want to enjoy myself and support my squad,” the Portuguese legend said.

For those who are unaware, Ronaldo and fellow competitor Lionel Messi did not make the Ballon d’Or shortlist in 2024. This is the first time in over 20 years that the storied pair has been excluded from the nominations.

“I’m accustomed to breaking records because they’re a part of who I am. Pressure has been on me from the first day, and I believe it will stay until the very end,” Ronaldo said.

With his sights firmly fixed on reaching 1000 career goals, CR7 is inching his way toward the record-breaking milestone. Cristiano has a huge choice to make about whether to extend his contract with Al-Nassr since it expires at the conclusion of the current campaign. Additionally, there are still doubts about whether he will be healthy enough to play for Portugal in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
