According to BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla, India will play the Windies in the first Test starting on October 2 in Mohali and the second Test starting on October 10 in Kolkata. The last time the West Indies toured India for a Test match was in 2013–14, which was also batting great Sachin Tendulkar’s last international appearance.

Three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is were played during the Caribbeans’ most recent trip to India in 2022. Soon after, the South Africans will go to India for a series that will serve as a prelude to the T20 World Cup that will take place here the following year. The series will consist of two Test matches, three ODIs, and five T20Is.

“Delhi will host the first Test, and Guwahati will host the second,” Shukla said. Guwahati, which often holds white ball matches and has previously hosted IPL matches, will host its first Test.

This year, provisionally, India will host the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in September.
